Houston police are awaiting autopsy results on a man found deceased at 1900 Creston about 7:40 a.m. on Saturday (Nov. 22).

The identity of the man is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Rodriguez and Officer M. Burrow reported:

A railroad company employee found the victim deceased in a grassy area near a railroad interchange at the above address.  There were signs of a possible assault to the victim, but the cause and manner of death will be determined in an autopsy.  The victim did not have identification on him.  He appears to be a Hispanic man in his late 20s or early 30s, is short and has a thin build.  The man has short brown hair, with the top dyed red.  He was wearing long blue jean shorts and white slip-on sneakers.
