SBS Transit made an announcement on Thursday that they are willing to bear the expenses of the funeral of the victim of the bus accident in Sengkang. They have announced to fund the respiration costs as well.

Chan Ah Yong, the 65-year-old lady, lost her life in a road accident by an SBS Transit Bus. She experienced fatal injuries and died on the spot. The Senior Vice President of the SBS Transit Tammy Tan made the announcement on the media on Thursday also informing that he had made the offer to the son-in-law of the deceased lady, who had not even listened to his offer and told him to call him back sometime in the next week. Tan said that he respected the decision of the family members and would not want to impose anything on them as this is a tough time for the family.

Some media reports also revealed that the family of Yong might have not spoken to the SBS Transit as they were not sure if they were willing to pay for the cost of the funeral. However, the officials at SBS Transit made the announcement on media to ensure that there is no confusion and that their message gets through in time, in case the family decides to take their help.
