A two year old toddler survived on Easter eggs for probably more than five days after her mother died in the house in New South Wales.

As per initial investigations, mother was found dead in a house in Wagga Wagga in NSW on Friday when the neighbors found the toddler near her mother’s dead body on Friday and rung the alarm. Police authorities mentioned that the two year old girl was severely dehydrated and showed symptoms of shock when they discovered her. However, the baby’s sugar and blood levels were normal. The deceased mother is expected to be 30 years of age.

Ambulance inspector Eamonn Purcell spoke to the media and said, “She was quite lethargic and pale. She wasn’t saying much, she wasn’t displaying much emotion. It was not long after Easter so she probably had some chocolate eggs that she was eating. You’ve got to feel for this two-year-old who might have been alone days and nights in this house.”

Paramedics announced that the mother could have been dead for about 5 days. However, the reason of death has not yet been specified. The toddler has been admitted to the children ward of the hospital and is said to be under monitoring despite showing satisfactory health conditions.
