A 51-year old Ste. Anne de Kent man was killed in a fatal crash which occurred shortly after 7:00 pm on April 2, 2011, on Irving Boulevard in Bouctouche, when a pick-up traveling westbound on Irving Boulevard collided with a car that was turning onto the roadway.

The driver of the car passed away at the scene. The driver of the pick-up truck, a 20-year-old Bouctouche man sustained minor injuries. Both men were the sole occupants of their vehicles.

The name of the deceased driver is not being released at this time, pending notification of next of kin.

Irving Boulevard, West of Highway 11, is closed to traffic and is expected to remain closed for several hours as the investigation continues. Traffic is being rerouted.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist has been called to the scene in order to determine the cause of the crash.
