Robert Rhett Burgess charged with sexual assault, Regina

A 34-year old Regina male is facing a number of sexual assault-related charges in connection with events alleged to have occurred in October, 2010.

On March 30, 2011, the Regina Police Service received information from a 16 year-old female, alleging that she was the victim of sexual assault on October 29th and 30th of 2010. It’s alleged the events occurred at a business in the 2300 block of Dewdney Avenue. As a result of the victim’s disclosure and the subsequent police investigation, a 34 year-old male was arrested on Friday, April 1, 2011 and charged with a total of six offences, in relation to the October 29-30, 2010, allegations.

Thirty-four year-old Robert Rhett BURGESS, DOB: 1976-08-18, of Regina is facing two charges of Sexual Assault [271 CC]; two charges of Sexual Exploitation [153(1)(a) CC] and two charges of Uttering Threats [ 264.1(1)(a) CC]. BURGESS made his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, April 4, 2011.
