Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau are asking that witnesses come forward, as they investigate the circumstances surrounding a fatal three-vehicle collision.

On Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at approximately 7:38 p.m., the victim, a 42 year-old male from Brampton, was operating his vehicle on Vankirk Drive, at the intersection of Canam Crescent. At this time his vehicle collided with two other vehicles, one of which was a tractor and trailer.

The victim, who was operating a silver Ford pickup truck, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other two vehicles were treated at the scene and released without any injuries.

The victim has been identified as Junior GILLARD, a 42 year-old resident of Brampton.

The matter is still under investigation. Investigators are looking for any witnesses who may have witnessed the collision, or the circumstances leading up to it, and are urging them to come forward to speak to investigators.
