A Moncton woman has been charged in connection with a crash last August which resulted in the death of a woman.

22-year-old Katie Lynn Vansnick is charged with driving without due care and attention. On August 19, 2010, District 3 Kennebecassis RCMP responded to a single vehicle crash on Route 1 in Quispamsis. Ms. Vansnick was enroute with three other passengers from Saint John to Moncton when the crash occurred. 24-year-old Angela Pitre of Moncton, a passenger in the car, died in hospital the following day as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.

Ms. Vansnick is scheduled to stand trial in Hampton Provincial Court on September 26, 2011.
