Members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police(RCMP) have charged a 60 year-old Port Hood man with homicide in relation to the death of 82 year-old Angus Maclean.

The RCMP responded to a 911 call during the evening hours of Wednesday, December 8th, 2010. Upon arrival Angus MacLean was found deceased in his residence.

James Edison Spears, of Port Hood, Nova Scotia, has been charged with first degree murder in the death of Angus MacLean. He has been remanded into custody and will appear in Supreme Court in Port Hawkesbury on April 18th, 2011.
