On Sunday, April 10, 2011, a party was held at a home in the Keele Street/Eglinton Avenue West area.

It is alleged that:

– a man at the party walked down a set of stairs in the home when a shotgun slid down his pant leg onto the floor,

– the man picked up the gun and pointed it at another person at the party,

– the man then walked back up the stairs and left the home.

On Tuesday, April 12, 2011, the accused was arrested.

McKenzie Grand Seraphin, 25, of Toronto, has been charged with:

1. Assault with a Weapon,
2. Weapons Dangerous
3. Pointing a Firearm
4. Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
5. Carry Concealed Weapon.

He was scheduled to appear in court at 2201 Finch Avenue West on Wednesday, April 13, 2011, room 206F, 10 a.m.
