Woman tutor Tammie Paul charged with sexual assault on 14 year old boy, Ajax

A female tutor has been arrested for historical sexual offences involving a male teenaged victim and investigators want to ensure there are no other victims.

Following a thorough investigation stemming from allegations reported to DRPS in early April, members of the DRPS Sexual Assault Unit/Child Abuse Unit arrested the female yesterday. The adult male victim, who was not physically or mentally challenged, reported to police the sexual offences began in September 2006, when the victim was 14 and the accused was 35.

The accused was an acquaintance of the victim’s family and was working with the victim as an unofficial tutor at the time of the alleged offences.

Tammie “Tamera” PAUL, age 39 of Ajax is charged with: Sexual Assault x2; Sexual Exploitation x2; Assault; Threatening and Criminal Harassment. The accused was held for a bail hearing.

The accused also operated a personal respite service to parents of special needs children as a small business venture. She has also worked for the Toronto District School Board as a Special Needs Assistant (SNA), however, this incident was not connected with her employment with the TDSB.
