Kelowna Mounties capture two men from the most wanted list

After a week of close surveillance, Kelowna RCMP, captured two from the "WANTED" list.

Kelowna RCMP were asked to assist Regina Police Department in locating the males about a week ago. Kelowna RCMP General Investigation Section Police learned that the duo had been hanging out together and hiding out in a residence on Newport Road in West Kelowna.

Captured, Shawn Allan MASSIE, Born 1972-03-24 – Wanted on a Canada wide warrant out of Saskatoon for a parole violation (unlawfully at large from November 2010). He is also wanted in Saskatchewan for weapons and drug charges. He has 43 convictions on his criminal record (1993 – current. Offences in Alberta, Sask and BC) which include theft, impaired driving, failure to comply, possession of stolen property, drug trafficking, and has used weapons during his crime sprees.

Captured, Jordan Allen BUNDUS, 1987-10-22 – Several outstanding warrants for 10 charges which include: possess firearm while prohibited X2, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking X 2, fail to appear for court, breach of a recognizance , and possession of a prohibited weapon (sawed off shot gun), proceeds of crime, Use firearm in the commission of an offence (robbery) and Careless Storage of a firearm. His criminal record dates back to 2003 and includes possession of a weapon, robbery X 3, thefts, Fail to comply, escape lawful custody X 2, and drugs, all Saskatchewan offences.

Police officers watched BUNDUS as he left the house and drove to a West Kelowna store. He was arrested without incident inside the store.

MASSEY was likely tipped off and fled from the house on foot and after a short foot pursuit, was also captured and is in custody. MASSIE was in breach of his parole and will therefore go back to jail.
