District 10 RCMP are investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred on the TransCanada Highway, near Saint-André, N.B., on the morning of April 16, 2011.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 25-year-old man from the Saint-Léonard area, was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected when the vehicle he was driving left the road. He passed away as a result of his injuries. Alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in the collision.

The investigation is ongoing.
