On April 16, 2011, at approximately 7:30 p.m., members of District 9 RCMP from Saint-Quentin responded to a snowmobile crash in the area of the Moose Valley Lodge, near Saint-Joseph-de-Madawaska, New Brunswick.

The driver, a 44-year-old man from the Saint-André area, died as a result of his injuries. He was returning from Quebec and was driving toward the Moose Valley Lodge when his snowmobile fell into a ravine. The man is believed to have lost control of the snowmobile while navigating a sharp curve. The investigation into the exact cause of the crash is ongoing.

The man’s name has not been released, pending notification of his family.
