Sunny and Bobby Sahota charged with arson, Calgary

The Calgary Police Service has charged two men in relation to an assault and subsequent arson.

At approximately 11 p.m. on Monday, March 28, 2011, a man approached a residence in the 0 – 100 block of Evansford Circle N.W. carrying a bat and demanding to speak with the occupants.

An altercation occurred and the man left after assaulting two victims. In the early morning hours of Tuesday, March 29, 2011, a second man allegedly returned and poured gas on the residence, setting it ablaze.

A neighbour noticed the fire and alerted the seven occupants of the house who were able to extinguish the fire. No one was injured and the fire caused approximately $2,500 in damage.

Bobby SAHOTA, 18, of Calgary is charged with one count of assault and one count of assault with a weapon.

Sunny SAHOTA, 21, of Calgary is charged with seven counts of arson endangering life.
