Investigators working out of the York Regional Police Homicide Unit have charged a fourth suspect with First Degree Murder, Attempt Murder and Conspiracy to Commit Murder in connection with the November 8, 2010, home invasion and homicide in the Town of Markham.

On Tuesday, April 26, 2011, homicide investigators arrested Daniel Chi-Kwong WONG, 25, of Ajax, at his place of employment in Markham. Mr. WONG will be held in custody and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on Wednesday, April 27, 2011.

The first arrest in connection with this incident took place on Monday, November 22, 2010, when investigators charged Jennifer PAN, 24, of Markham, with Murder, Attempted Murder and Conspiracy in the death of her mother and a serious assault on a second victim. Ms. PAN is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Newmarket on Monday, May 9, 2011.

Previous arrests included David MYLVAGANAM, 22, of Toronto, and Eric CARTY, 30, of no fixed address.

The investigation continues and further arrests are anticipated.

On Monday, November 8, 2010, at approximately 10:30 p.m., York Regional Police responded to a residence on Helen Avenue after receiving a 9-1-1 call reporting a home invasion. Upon arrival, police discovered Bieh Ha PAN, 53, of Markham, who had succumbed to injuries inside the residence. A 57-year-old male was also discovered in the residence with serious injuries. Surviving the attack, he continues to recover in an undisclosed location.
