The family and friends of a 31-year-old Kamloops woman have contacted the local RCMP when the woman failed to make regular contact with her family and has not been seen or heard from in seven days.

The investigation has determined that Leah Rochelle Dawn JOHNSON (B: 1979-July-08) last spoke to her mother on Tuesday April 19th and was last seen in the area of her apartment building at 3 p.m. on Wednesday April 20th. During the conversation with her mother, Johnson did not mention she had any travel plans or that she would be away from home in the immediate future. Johnson has regular contact with her immediate family at least every other day.

Johnson’s family and friends have indicated that she is currently going through a stressful period in her life but that her sudden disappearance and the lack of communication is uncharacteristic for her. Investigators checked Johnson’s residence and found nothing unusual, suspicious or out of the ordinary. No clues could be found as to where Johnson may have gone. Police have also checked local hostels and the Grey Hound Bus Terminal as that is the typical method of travel for her.

Johnson is described as a Caucasian female, 5 ft. 2 in., 100 lbs. with long dark hair and brown eyes.
