Toronto parking enforcement officer Devon Henry charged with assault

A Toronto Police Service civilian member has been arrested and charged, following an investigation by officers of the Professional Standards Unit. The charges relate to an on-duty incident.

It is alleged that:

– on Sunday, April 24, 2011, the accused was in the execution of his duties when a man assaulted him in the Ossington Avenue/Queen Street West area.

– police arrived and arrested the man,

– while at the police station, the accused assaulted the arrested man.

On Thursday, April 28, 2011, Devon Henry, 42, with 9.5 years’ service, was arrested and charged with Assault causing bodily harm.

Devon Henry is a Parking Enforcement Officer.

He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall, on Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at 11 a.m., in courtroom 111.
