Edmonton Police Service officers in addition to military personnel continue to search the North Saskatchwean River Valley area for a 25-year-old soldier who went missing during a training session this morning.

Richard Curnow went missing while jogging with other soldiers between Emily Murphy Park and Hawrelak Park at around 9 a.m. While the Master Corporal’s disappearance isn’t considered to be suspicious at this time, his black 2008 Mitsubishi Outlander, with personal items still inside, was found parked at the south end of Hawrelak Park.

Edmonton Police were contacted regarding the missing soldier at approximately 1:00 p.m. today.

Search and rescue personnel are currently searching an area between Emily Murphy Park and Kinsmen Park and are also requesting public assistance in an effort to locate him.

Richard Curnow is described as being 5’11”, with an athletic build, weighs 208 lbs., and has brown hair & eyes.
