Jermaine Phillips charged with attempted murder, Brampton

On Saturday, November 27, 2010, at approximately 4:30 a.m., police responded to an address on Lauraglen Crescent, in response to a complaint of a shooting.

As a result of the shooting, a 21 year-old Brampton man received serious injuries. Another victim, a 20 year-old Brampton man, sustained minor injuries.

As a result of their investigation, officers obtained a Canada-wide arrest warrant for Attempted Murder, for Jermaine PHILLIPS, a 29 year-old male of no fixed address.

On Thursday, May 5, 2011, investigators from the 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau attended at an address on Bridletowne Circle, in Toronto. Mr. PHILLIPS was located at this location and arrested.

Jermaine Phillips has been charged with the following;

· Attempt Murder (two counts)
· Aggravated Assault (two counts)
· Point Firearm
· Unlawful Possession of a Firearm

He was held for a bail hearing and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Friday, May 6, 2011.
