Edmonton man Donny Christopher Hill charged with sexual assault

North Division patrol officers have charged a man with several offences in connection with an alleged assault against a woman in north Edmonton on May 4th.

Shortly after 4:00 a.m. on that date patrol officers responded to a report of a dispute between a man and his girlfriend in the area of Fort Road and 66 Street. Once inside the accused’s apartment suite near 131 Avenue and Fort Road, the female was allegedly punched and kicked. She was also struck by a tin coffee container. She fled the residence and was able to flag down a passing ambulance. The paramedics provided medical assistance for her injuries.

Officers were dispatched and conducted an investigation which resulted in charges of assault, assault with a weapon and uttering threats against 41-year-old Donny Christopher Hill.

Follow-up investigation regarding an unrelated matter resulted in an additional charge of aggravated sexual assault. This incident is still under investigation by the Domestic Offenders Crime Section.
