Officers from the Homicide Bureau are investigating the circumstances surrounding the Region of Peel’s seventh homicide of 2011.

On Saturday May 14, 2011, at approximately 1:10 a.m., police responded to a 911 call, to 6719 Glen Erin Drive in Mississauga, regarding a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival officers found the victim, Marilyn DELLAIRE, a 56 year old Mississauga woman, suffering from obvious signs of trauma. The victim was pronounce deceased in the apartment.

Officers arrested, Doug McCoy, a 48 year old Mississauga man, at the scene for second degree murder. McCoy will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Saturday the May 14, 2011 to face the charge of Second Degree Murder.

The victim and suspect have been in a lengthy common law relationship prior to this incident.
