Jordan Carson Spence charged for assaulting a Winnipeg police officer

On May 24th, 2011 at approximately 10:15 p.m. Members of the Winnipeg Police Service Members, who were in attendance at downtown concert, were called to assist security members with an intoxicated male who just assaulted a security guard.

Upon arrival officers were advised that a 52 year old male security officer was assaulted in the upper body by this male after he refused to produce his concert ticket. As officers were taking the male into custody a 38 year old male Winnipeg Police Service officer was assaulted in the upper body.

As this male was turned over to general patrol members, the suspect attempted to assault another male officer, 34 years, in the upper body.

As a result of the incident, one officer was treated and released from the hospital, while the security officer and the second officer did not sustain any injuries.

Jordan Carson SPENCE, 24 years of Winnipeg is facing the following charges for his alleged involvement into this incident:

– Assault Peace Officer X2 and
– Assault

He has been detained in custody.
