Guled Jimaleh and Hassan Ali charged for robbery, Toronto

On Thursday, May 12, 2011, at 8:30 p.m., police were called to the Lakeland Drive/Lightwood Drive area for a robbery.

It is alleged that:

– two men, in their 20s, were walking in the Lakeland Drive/Lightwood Drive area when they were approached by a group of men,

– the suspects, one of whom was armed with a gun, threatened the victims, demanding empty their pockets and hand over their property.

On Tuesday, May 24, 2011, Guled Jimaleh, 20, and Hassan Ali, 20, were charged with:

1. Robbery While Armed with a Firearm,
2. Use Firearm to Commit Indictable Offence,
3. Weapons Dangerous,
4. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime,
5. Fail to Comply with Probation.

Guled Jimaleh is additionally charged with Breach of Recognizance.

Both accused appeared in court at 2201 Finch Avenue West on Wednesday, May 25, 2011, room 206F, 10 a.m.
