The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance in locating a boy who has gone missing with his father.

After exhausting all other investigative tactics, the Service’s Domestic Conflict Unit is appealing to anyone who may have information about the whereabouts of 44-year-old Harpreet Singh ARORA and his two-and-a-half-year-old son Shael Ranbir Singh ARORA.

Harpreet, who also goes by the nickname Dimpy, had planned on visiting Vancouver with Shael between May 12 and 16, 2010. Shael’s mother, Mona Gill, was fully aware of this trip and had agreed to let her son go.

The investigation has revealed Harpreet and Shael arrived in Mumbai, India, on May 24, 2010. Their current location is unknown.

There are no immediate safety concerns for Shael’s wellbeing.

Canada-wide warrants have been issued for Harpreet Singh ARORA, for abduction without consent.

Harpreet Singh ARORA is described as East Indian, 5’8” tall, 169 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He shaves his head, but is also known to wear a turban. He has associates in Calgary, Vancouver, Hong Kong, Singapore and India.

Shael ARORA is described as East Indian, 2’5” tall and approximately 22 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

The RCMP’s National Missing Children Services have been notified and an international alert protocol has been initiated. INTERPOL associates in Hong Kong and Singapore have also been alerted.
