On June 10, 2011, at approximately 7:30 p.m. members of the Fredericton Police Force observed a vehicle in Island View, N.B., believed to be a 2002 Chevrolet pickup truck reported stolen from the Dalhousie area on June 9.

Police attempted to intercept the vehicle, resulting in a pursuit that led to Route 105 in Douglas. At approximately 8 p.m., the driver of the truck lost control, left the road and hit a power pole. It was determined that the occupants were the two men who had escaped from the Dalhousie Correctional Centre the previous day.

20-year-old Bradley Dwight Carr-MacDonald, from Tracy, N.B., and 22-year-old Ryan Darrell Eccleston, from Aroostook, N.B., were transported to hospital. They were treated for minor injuries and will be released to the Provincial Correctional Centre.

A third person in the truck, a 16-year-old girl from Fredericton was also treated for minor injuries.
