Barbados Fugitive Arrested in Calgary

Southern Alberta Integrated Fugitive Apprehension (IFA) has arrested a man wanted on warrants for two separate homicides in Barbados.

On Tuesday, June 21, 2011, IFA received information that Damian Lecoursey REVEIRA, 25, may be in Calgary. Through further investigation, officers determined REVEIRA was working at a construction site and was subsequently arrested without incident.

REVEIRA’s identity was confirmed and he is now in custody awaiting deportation back to Barbados, which may occur as early as Monday, July, 4, 2011.

There were no indications that REVEIRA was involved in criminal activities within Calgary or surrounding areas.

The arrest of REVEIRA required the cooperation of the Calgary Police Service, Alberta Sheriffs, Canada Border Service Agency, Interpol and The Royal Barbados Police Force.
