Windsor Police have a 68 year old woman in custody after a 46 year old man received a number of stab wounds in the city’s east end last night.
At 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2011, uniformed WPS officers responded to an apartment building in the 1500 block of Westcott Rd. for a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers were directed to one of the apartments where they found the victim inside bleeding from a number of puncture wounds.
Also present in the apartment, was a 68 year old woman who was taken into custody without incident. The victim was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries where he was treated and released this morning.
The investigation is continuing and charges are pending. Investigators will be returning to the apartment to execute a search warrant sometime today. The victim and suspect both reside in the apartment together.
