RCMP tries to locate missing B.C. dad, son in U.S

B.C. police is trying to locate missing father and son from Vancouver Island. They were travelling in Washington State.

On Saturday, Ian McFadden, 35, of West Shore, near Victoria, went to the U.S. with son James McFadden, 9. Evidently, they both entered into U.S., via the Blaine Border Crossing at about 1:40 a.m.

They took a Canadian taxi cab to Seattle. Later they sat in a local taxi. RCMP is trying to find out where they headed afterwards. The rest of the story is unknown. According to the given facts and statements received from people familiar with the missing duo, cops are specifically worried about the child.

Cpl. Darren Lagan of the Vancouver Island RCMP said: “Out of an abundance of caution, we want to connect with Ian and James, and ensure that they are safe. We are asking our neighbours to the south to assist us in locating Ian and James, and ask that they pass along any information they may have, to their local police.”

All the possible resources of RCMP from the Island District and Lower Mainland District are occupied in this search.

Father, Ian McFadde’s height 05-foot-8, weight 150 pounds, medium complexion, brown short hair, and brown eyes. He was wearing light brown dress, single breast full suit, and a black coloured ’fedora’ style hat. The father has legal custody of James, and cops do not know any of his criminal history.

While the nine-year-old kid, James McFadden also has medium complexion, brown short hair, brown eyes. He was last seen wearing khaki shorts, black sweat shirt, and possibly a black and white coloured hat.
