Peel police arrested fourth suspect, Jora Jassal in Brampton kidnapping

Investigators from the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have arrested a fourth suspect in connection with the kidnapping of a Brampton woman. 

On November 11, 2011, the 38 year old victim was taken from her residence in the area of Highway 50 and Cottrelle Boulevard. After being held for two days, the victim was located at a home in Mississauga.

On November 13, 2011, three males were arrested in relation to this incident.  Jaswinder Singh, age 27, Asogian Gunalingam, age 30, and Nicholas Victorvalaratnam, age 45, all of Mississauga, are charged with Kidnapping, Forcible Confinement, Extortion and Assault. All three appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on November 14, 2011. 

Police obtained arrest warrants for two additional suspects, Jora Jassal, age 28 of Brampton, and Vajinder Singh, a 32 year-old male.

On November 14, 2011, Jora Jassal turned himself in to investigators at 21 Division. He will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on November 15, 2011, to answer to charges of Kidnapping, Forcible Confinement, Extortion and Assault.

Still wanted by police is Vajinder Singh, described as South Asian, with black hair and brown eyes. A picture of one of the first three suspects arrested was released by police yesterday and mistakenly attributed to the wanted suspect Vajinder Singh.
