Businessman Kevin O'Leary hasn't decided whether he'll enter the Conservative leadership race, but that isn't stopping those already in the race from going after him. In response to an open letter posted by Ontario’s Liberal Premier Kathleen Wynne on Facebook over the weekend, Kevin O’Leary published a post on the same social media platform on Monday that challenged Premier Wynne to call a snap election. O’Leary mentioned in the Facebook post that Wynne was “out of touch” and dared her to seek a new mandate from Ontario’s voters.

In the open letter posted to his Facebook page, O’Leary alleged that “if you really think you are doing a good job, then prove it, and call an election tomorrow,” adding that “unfortunately, we both know you won’t do that though when you are sitting with a 16% approval rating in the polls.” The celebrity mogul and Dragons’ Den star, O’Leary has taken repeated swipes at Wynne for her leadership and economic plan and continued that line of attack in his reply.

According to O’Leary, politicians like Wynne have inspired him to jump into politics. He elucidated that “I’m getting involved in the Conservative leadership race because I can’t stand watching incompetent politicians destroy my country.” O’Leary stated that “you and (Prime Minister) Justin Trudeau are two of them. Rachel Notley would be the third.” He explained that “look at Ontario, if this province were a company it would have been forced to declare bankruptcy ages ago.” O’Leary said that if Wynne were the CEO of one of his companies “I would have fired you long ago.”
