Durham police search for missing boy Michael Larcombe

Durham Police are investigating the whereabouts of a reported missing Uxbridge teenager and are appealing for assistance in locating the 16-year-old male.

On Monday November 28, 2011, North Division officers responded to a residence on Brock Street West in Uxbridge and began a missing person’s investigation surrounding the sudden disappearance of a 16-year-old teenager from his home. Foul play is not suspected and investigators are not looking for any suspects involved and believe the missing teen freely left his residence, alone. Family members last saw the missing teen on Sunday November 27th in the late evening hours and awoke to find the teen absent from his home on Monday morning. Parents immediately contacted police for assistance. This is not a criminal investigation and police and next of kin are concerned for the well-being of the teen.

Yesterday, DRPS officers fanned out across the Uxbridge community and began looking for the teen. Officers equipped with ATV’s rode through rural areas, a K-9 Unit was deployed and Air1 navigated the skies in attempts to locate the missing person. All searches were negative and the investigation and search will continue today.

Michael Larcombeage 16 of Brock Street West in Uxbridge is described as: male, white, 5’10”, 135 lbs, brown eyes, brown short hair, clean-shaven with a fair complexion with some acne. He may be wearing a grey hoody sweatshirt.

Update: Michael Larcombe has returned home to his residence, safe and sound. The missing male arrived back at his Uxbridge residence at approximately 10:40 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2011.
