On November 29, 2011, 19-year-old Dean Hicks of Sackville, N.B., was arrested by Sackville RCMP and has been charged with uttering death threats over Facebook. Sackville RCMP received a complaint on November 29th and arrested Hicks at his home on the same day. Investigators also seized computers from the residence.
Hicks appeared in Moncton Provincial Court yesterday and was sent for a 30-day psychiatric evaluation. He will return to court on December 29, 2011, for a bail hearing.
The investigation is still ongoing.
