Chatham man Ronnie George Inghelbrecht charged with multiple sexual offences

On Monday December 5, 2011, the Chatham-Kent police reported that Ronnie George Inghelbrecht, 48, of Chathamhad been charged with two counts of possession of child pornography and one count of accessing child pornography. 
 
These charges stem from a search warrant that was executed on November 30, 2011. Members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service Child Exploitation Unit and the Ontario Provincial Police Child Sexual Exploitation Unit executed a search warrant at a Chatham address and charged Inghelbrecht following a seven month child pornography investigation. Three computers and external media were seized which contained images of child sexual abuse.  
 
Since the original news release, a former Chatham resident has come forward to report being the victim of historical sexual abuse.
 
As a result of the investigation, Ronnie George Inghelbrecht, 48, of Chatham has been charged with eleven counts of sexual related offences and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing later today.
