The driver of the northbound vehicle, an 18 year old male from Fort Langley, had to be extricated from the vehicle and was transported by Air Ambulance to Royal Inland Hospital for further treatment.

Icy road conditions are believed to have contributed to the accident. Central Interior Traffic Services is continuing with the investigation.
