At approximately 1:45 p.m. on February 22nd, Digby RCMP were notified of a missing sea urchin diver. Preliminary investigation revealed that a 48-year-old man from Ottawa was diving with two colleagues in the Grand Passage area near Westport, Digby County.
The victim was last seen by another diver being pulled away by the current. The Canadian Coast Guard, Canadian Forces Search and Rescue helicopter and the RCMP searched the area Wednesday without success.
A shoreline search by the RCMP, Fundy Ground Search and Rescue and the Canadian Coast Guard will continue today.
