Mississauga man Xiang (Jay) Gao charged with child abduction

The 11 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau has arrested a male party for numerous offences against children in Mississauga during the past month. 

On February 27th, 2012, the victim, a 12 year old male from Mississauga, alleged he was abducted by the accused and held for a short period of time in the basement of a home on Tillsdown Drive.  Through the course of the investigation, a second male child was also identified as having been abducted in the same manner.  Three other boys have also been approached by this male.

The investigation resulted in the arrest, on February 28, 2012, of Xiang (Jay) GAO, a 19 year old male from Mississauga.  The accused has been charged with the following offences:

  • Abduction of a person under 14
  • Utter Threats
  • Forcible Confinement x 2
  • Assault x 2

The accused has been held for a Bail Hearing and will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on February 29, 2012.

Investigators are concerned that there may be more victims and are asking that the public pay close attention to the description below.

The accused is described as male, Asian, late teens to early 20’s, 5’5” to 5’9”, with short black hair.  He was last seen wearing a long dark puffy jacket and a fur hat with flaps covering ears.
