Oneida First Nations man Rupert Cornelius charged with sexual assault

On Saturday March 3, 2012 police responded to a report of a sexual assault and forcible confinement at an address in London. The adult male suspect threatened and sexually assaulted a female and then forced the victim to drive him back to the Oneida First Nation.

On Monday March 5, 2012 at approximately 10:00 p.m. Rupert Cornelius, 32-years-old of Oneida First Nations was arrested and is charged with a number of offences including sexual assault, assault with a weapon, assault, threats, forcible confinement, robbery and several firearms offences. 

Rupert Cornelius will appear in court Tuesday March 6, 2012.
