Toronto woman Alicia Lewandowski arrested for hitting a pedestrian

On Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at approximately 4:30 p.m., police responded to a report of a serious fail-to-remain pedestrian-struck collision at the intersection of Jane Street and Bexley Crescent.

It is alleged that:

– an 80-year-old man was crossing Jane Street, from the west side to the east, just north of Bexley Crescent

– a car, traveling southbound on Jane Street, struck the man and fled the scene

The man suffered serious head injuries and was taken to hospital.

Alicia Lewandowski, 19, of Mississauga, was later arrested.

She is charged with:
1) Fail to stop causing bodily harm

She was scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 10 a.m.
