On Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at 10:45 a.m., police responded to an assault just occurred call on Lawrence Avenue West at Bayview Avenue.
It is alleged that:
– a TTC bus driver and an 18-year-old man got into a dispute over a fare on the westbound Lawrence Avenue West bus,
– the bus driver then assaulted the man, breaking a window on the bus.
The victim received non-life-threatening injuries.
Hagos Bereket, 30, of Toronto, has been charged with Assault.
He is scheduled to appear in court at College Park on a future date.
