On Thursday, April 15, 2010, at 11:58 p.m., police responded to a call for a multi-vehicle collision on the Don Valley Parkway, north of Lawrence Avenue East.

It is reported that:

– a 44-year-old man was driving a Toyota 4 Runner, northbound on the Don Valley Parkway, at Lawrence Avenue East,

– the driver changed lanes into the centre lane, striking the rear of a Honda Civic,

– the Honda Civic struck a Toyota Corolla, which was stopped in the centre lane for a possible mechanical problem.

An 18-year-old woman, a passenger in the rear of the Honda Civic, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
