Police arrest Chun Qi Jiang for the murder of Guang Hua Liu

Investigators from the Homicide and Missing Person Bureau have made an arrest in relation to the homicide of 41 year old Ms. Guang Hua LIU of Scarborough.

On Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at approximately 11:30 a.m. police attended Hewick’s Meadow Park in Mississauga in response to a citizen’s report of possible found human remains. It was confirmed by the Coroner that these remains were human and a large scale search of the Credit River area was undertaken that produced further remains.

Investigators were made aware of similar findings in the Toronto area and after Post Mortem tests, it was determined that these human remains were that of the victim Ms. LIU.

Investigators have made an arrest in connection to this investigation, and charged a 40 year-old Scarborough resident, Chun Qi JIANG, with Second Degree Murder. He was scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton today, Monday, August 27, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. and he is currently involved in the bail/remand process.
