Two fugitives Paul Price and Elissa Wells arrested for fradulent telemarketing schemes

On Friday, August 24, 2012, members of the Toronto Police Service Fugitive Squad located and arrested a man and woman wanted by authorities in the United States.

Paul Price, 56, and Elissa Wells, 49, are wanted in the United States on charges relating to fraudulent telemarketing schemes.

It is alleged that:

– Price and Wells engaged in the fraudulent activity from the Toronto area, targeting U.S. residents by making unsolicited telephone calls to unsuspecting victims.

– they defrauded tens of thousands of consumers of over $10 million

The accused were located at their homes in Toronto and Concord.

Both accused are being held in custody awaiting extradition proceedings.
