Belleisle Creek woman dies in a fatal collision with a vehicle

On August 27, 2012 shortly before 9 p.m., District 3 RCMP responded to a fatal collision involving a pedestrian on East Scotch Settlement Road in Belleisle Creek, N.B.

A 32-year-old woman from Belleisle Creek was travelling with her family when their RV ran out of gas.  She was standing next to their vehicle, which was parked across the road from the RV, when she was struck by a car that passed between their vehicle and the RV.  She died at the scene as a result of her injuries.

An RCMP reconstructionist was on the scene investigating the collision. It was dark at the time of the crash, and road conditions were dry. The investigation is ongoing.

The name of the victim is not being released at this time pending notification of her family.
