RCMP arrest two people and seize drugs, Moncton, N.B.

During the evening of April 21, 2010 Codiac Regional RCMP Drug Section arrested a man and a woman for possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking on the corner of West Street and Burlington Avenue in Moncton.

A 29-year-old Moncton man and a 24-year-old Moncton woman were arrested without incident after a two day drug investigation done by Codiac RCMP drug investigators. Police seized marijuana, a small amount of pills believed to be ecstacy, cash and drug paraphernalia. They were both released from custody and will appearing in Moncton Provincial Court on June 22, 2010 at 9:30 am to face charges.

These arrests are part of on-going efforts by Codiac Regional RCMP Drug Section to reduce street level drugs in our community. Our efforts are going towards ensuring that residents enjoy community activities in a safe and secure environment.
