RCMP arrest two men and seize drugs in Moncton, N.B.

During the afternoon of April 26, 2010 Codiac Regional RCMP Drug Section arrested two men for possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking after they were observed doing a drug transaction on Dufferin Street in Moncton.

A 26-year-old Moncton man was arrested for possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking and an 18-year-old Moncton man was arrested for possession of drugs. Police seized a variety of drugs prepackaged for resale such as marijuana, drugs believed to be ecstasy, prescription medication and cash.

They were both released from custody and will appearing in Moncton Provincial Court on July 19, 2010 at 9:30 am to face charges.

These arrests are part of on-going efforts by Codiac Regional RCMP Drug Section to reduce street level drugs in our community. Our efforts are going towards ensuring that residents enjoy community activities in a safe and secure environment.
