At around 4 a.m. on Saturday September 22, 2012 the police was dispatched to a Shediac residence after receiving a complaint of a male breaking into a residence and sexually assaulting a 33 year old woman.
The call was made after the suspect fled the residence on foot. The victim was not physically injured. The suspect was arrested without incident at his home shortly after.
Members of District 4 RCMP and the General Investigation Section are continuing the investigation. The suspect will remain in custody and charges are anticipated.
