On Wednesday, May 5, 2010, a man was arrested in a drug investigation, in the Lansdowne Avenue/Dupont Street area.

It is alleged that:

– officers from the Toronto Drug Squad arrested a man in a vehicle and seized a large quantity of cocaine, ecstasy, marijuana, hashish and oxycodone.

It is further alleged that:

– police executed a warrant at the man’s Dufferin Street/Eglinton Avenue West area home, where officers seized cocaine, oxycodone, marijuana and $166,000 in cash,

The total value of the seized drugs is $340,000.

Michael Silva, 34, of Toronto, has been charged with:

1) two counts of Possession for the purpose- Cocaine,
2) two counts of Possession for the purpose- MDMA,
3) two counts of Possession for the purpose- Marijuana,
4) two counts of Possession for the purpose- Hashish,
5) two counts of Possession for the purpose- Oxycodone,
6) two counts of Possession of Proceeds of Crime.

The accused was scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall, on Thursday, May 6, 2010, room 103, at 10 a.m.
