The 19-year-old woman being chased through a nationwide warrant for murdering an aspiring rapper amidst a failed robbery in Scarborough has “surrendered.” Toronto Police was in quest of the culprit, LaPrincia Palmer, since February as she was involved in the murder of 23-years-old Anthony Spencer at a recording studio on Brimley Rd. south of Lawrence Ave. E.

The suspected Mississauga woman simply gave herself up to the police 33 Division, on Upjohn Rd., at 1:30 a.m. Thursday. She is believed to be involved with two other men who robbed Spencer, along with his friends within the recording studio called the Dungeon, on Jan. 21. Spencer, better known by his stage name Tony Trapz, died due to a gunshot during the robbery. He was brought to the Scarborough General Hospital but did not make it. The robbery was caught on camera and two suspects were identified.

23-years-old Samuel Paul was caught on Jan. 26, whereas 22-years-old Chever Ashley was brought in a few days later and both were charged almost same offences. Paul was indicted with first-degree murder and several robbery, firearms and other offences. Ashley was indicted with accessory to murder, robbery and firearm offences.

Investigators did not identify Palmer until Oct. 3, after which they publicized a nationwide warrant for her arrest. Now that she has turned herself in to police, she is indicted with robbery, firearms and attempting to obstruct justice. Palmer is scheduled to make her court appearance in Scarborough Thursday.
