The Toronto Police Service is alerting the public to a sexual assault investigation.
It is reported that:
– on Saturday, May 8, 2010, at 3:30 a.m., a 24-year-old woman was walking in the Bathurst Street/College Street area.
– she was approached by a man who held her at knifepoint,
– she was taken to a nearby laneway and robbed,
– she was then sexually assaulted.
The suspect is described as brown, 20-30, 5’7", possibly East Indian or Sri Lankan, chubby build and short, black hair. He was last seen wearing a grey sports jacket, rectangular metal-rimmed glasses and a backpack.
