The RCMP is continuing its investigation into the discovery of a woman’s body along the Killarney Road on November 6, 2012.
The body of the woman was discovered shortly before 1:30 p.m. The police blocked the road until midnight before reopening it to one lane. Both lanes were reopened to the public around noon today.
Police are still working on identifying the woman. An autopsy is being conducted in Saint John today.
As the cause of the death has not yet been determined, it is considered suspicious and New Brunswick RCMP’s Major Crime Unit is investigating.
Update: The RCMP has identified the body of a woman discovered just north of Fredericton on November 6, 2012.
The body of 26-year-old Alicia Dawn Boone, originally of Nackawic but recently living in Fredericton, was found on Tuesday shortly before 1:30 p.m. on the side of Killarney Road. She was approximately seven months pregnant at the time.
As the cause of the death has not yet been determined, it is considered suspicious and the New Brunswick RCMP’s Major Crime Unit is investigating. An autopsy is being conducted.
